Growth capital for Europe’s next generation of hospitality and food & beverage.

Capital Gate partners with founders building distinctive hotels, restaurants, and concepts across Europe — bringing GCC capital and operating depth to the businesses shaping how people eat, stay, and gather.

Our approach

An investment philosophy shaped by two worlds.

01

Hospitality-native capital

We invest only where we operate with fluency. Every cheque we write is backed by people who have built, run, and scaled hospitality businesses before.

02

European focus

Our mandate is geographic and deliberate. Capital flows in one direction — into operators building for European customers, cities, and supply chains.

03

Operating partnership

Beyond the balance sheet we bring hands — on unit economics, openings, procurement, brand, and the unglamorous work of running better restaurants and hotels.

04

GCC bridge

Founders gain access to a network most European operators never reach — Gulf family offices, hotel groups, developers, and travellers with real spending power.

A bridge, not a detour

East capital.
West market.

Hospitality rewards patience, local knowledge, and real operating instinct — and those qualities rarely travel together. Capital Gate is built to close that gap. Our capital comes from the Gulf, where hospitality is a cultural first language. Our investments sit in Europe, where the finest operators are often underfunded and over-romanticised. We move slowly, take concentrated positions, and make ourselves useful long after the wire has cleared. Read about our thesis.

Investment focus

The businesses we back.

We invest across the full texture of hospitality — from a single room-count hotel with a point of view to restaurant groups ready for their second city. Our filter is quality of operator, not stage of business.

How we work

A process built for operators, not fundraisers.

From first conversation to signed term sheet in eight to twelve weeks. We keep the number of stages small and the number of people in each room smaller.

STEP 01
Week 01 — 02

Introduction

A single submission or warm introduction. A partner reads it the same week. If there is mutual interest, we meet once — in person wherever possible.

STEP 02
Week 03 — 05

Kitchen visit

We spend time inside the business — a service, a shift, a site walk. Numbers matter, but hospitality is decided in rooms, not spreadsheets.

STEP 03
Week 06 — 08

Diligence

Financial, legal, and operational review in parallel. Our diligence is measured in weeks, not months, and our questions are written by people who have answered them before.

STEP 04
Week 09 — 10

Terms

A short, plain-English term sheet. We size the cheque to the plan, not the fashion. We do not lead with control rights that punish good operators.

STEP 05
Week 11 +

Partnership

The work after the wire is the real work. A quarterly operating rhythm, access to the GCC network, and a partner on call for the decisions that rarely wait for the next board meeting.

Building something distinctive?

Tell us about the concept, the team, and the next twenty-four months. We read every submission ourselves. If the fit is there, you will hear from a partner within two weeks.

A small room, by invitation.

We work with a small number of aligned family offices and private investors. Materials are shared under NDA, and conversations are measured rather than rushed.
